Someone made me realize that writing down a timeline for your goals will help you actually reach them and do what you have to do so you can prioritize your life accordingly. Not only does it help you reach your goals, it also somewhat paves a vision into doing them. I listed down my goals for 1, 3, 5 and 10 years from now and it honestly made me realize that whatever I do today will affect the future, so I gotta make it count!
Here's what my recently short list of goals look like:

Voila! And that's it. I enjoyed writing and envisioning this one to be honest. :-) So you can see how my goals for the first year greatly affect how my goals for the next 10-12 years will come into play. These are goals that I am working towards. It’s important to keep in mind that these goals aren’t permanent. Nothing is ever permanent. Change happens every single day, and so you have to roll with it. But it’s nice to kind of plan out how you want the next 10 years of your life to be, because it motivates you to actually work for it, to know that you have a direction in life.
So if you haven’t written down or even though about your goals, I suggest you do it tonight or this weekend. It’s a great exercise and really puts everything into perspective. :-)
