Day 1: Thinking about my purpose
God has not left us in the dark to wonder and guess. He has clearly revealed his five purposes for our lives through the Bible. It is our Owner's Manual, explaining why we are alive, how life is works, what to avoid, and what to expect in the future. It explains what no self-help or philosophy could know. The Bible says, "God's wisdom... goes deep into the interior of his purposes...It's not the latest message but more like the oldest-what God determined as the way to bring out his best in us. "God is not just the starting point of your life; he is the source of it. To discover your purpose in life you must turn to God's Word, not the world's wisdom. - It's not about me. - "Everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him." Colossians 1:16b {Msg} Quote that I read today: "Loving someone and being in love with someone are two different things."6/10/2014
And I agreed. Love was something that took years to happen. It wasn't a feeling that blossomed from a one-sided crush. I'm a firm believer in dates and relationships before the word love could even be mentioned. How could someone love without even knowing how he or she would be as a friend, a best friend, a lover?
Fear is not real. The only place that fear can exist is in our thoughts of the future. It is a product of our imagination, causing us to fear things that do not at present and may not ever exist. That is near insanity. Do not misunderstand me danger is very real but fear is a choice.
